TL;DR: Please do read! This is the single most important update, it explains how to use the pledge manager.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
The pledge manager will open for some of you on 22-Jan (smoke test - 5% of backers) and for the rest as soon as we will see that everything works fine, probably the same day. The pledge manager will remain open until 16-Feb, and then we will start production immediately, therefore we need to ask all of you to fill it up by then. We can make absolutely no exceptions from our timeline, as all delayed answers will slow down the process for everyone. All incomplete pledges will have the following fate at the time of BackerKit closing: all pledges of $20 or more will turn into credit and reassigned to a future pledge manager for a different product; all other pledges will simply be regarded as contributions to the success of the campaign. Also, starting today refunds are no longer possible.
It is very important that you carefully go through this update, in order to make your BackerKit experience, and later fulfillment, as smooth as possible. It is absolutely essential that you provide us with both the information on all the items you would like to order, as well as a correct shipping address.
I'm new! What is a pledge manager? What's BackerKit?
Although also a name of a specific service, a pledge manager is a general name given to an online application that allows you to tell us exactly what you pledged for during the Kickstarter project, and BackerKit is the brand name of the tool we are using.
In essence, it's a combination of a survey and online store, where you will be able to use the money pledged and charged after the project concluded. You will also be able to upgrade your pledge and supplement it with add-ons. Please note that BackerKit does not allow you to drop your pledge.
1. Welcome screen and upgrading your pledge
Once the pledge manager opens, you will be provided with a link via email. Click on the link, making sure first that you are logged in to Kickstarter.
As you enter BackerKit, you will see a screen similar to the one above. The two important pieces of information here are: your current pledge level (box 1), and your shipping country (box 2). If the country is not displayed (or is displayed incorrectly), use the drop-down menu to choose your shipping country or region.
If you want to upgrade/change your pledge level, you can do this from this screen as well (box 3). The link will open a separate window which will allow you to choose a new pledge level. This is especially important in case of wanting to add anything to your pledge, but more about in next paragraphs.
Once you've made all required selection, push the Get Started! button to proceed.
2. Getting in and answering the questions
Once you've clicked on the "Get Started!" button, you will see a screen very similar to this one:
It is a simple reminder that your pledge level specific items are already in your shopping basket in the add-ons section as well as add-ons that you pledged for during the Kickstarter campaign.
The next step will require you to acknowledge reading this very update:
Please do read this update until the end before acknowledging this fact. After doing that things will look differently based on the pledge level you chose:
- If you chose any of the Paladin Sleeves pledge levels, this is where the questions end.
- If you chose any of the All-in Sets pledge levels, you will be asked whether you also want Paladin Sleeves. In that case you will be asked to switch pledge levels, otherwise you won't see them as add-ons:
In red box you can see the place where you need to click to switch the pledge level. After clicking, you will see the following window and again red box indicates, what you need to click:
- If you chose any of the Accessory Pack or Pledge Manager access pledge levels, you will be asked whether you also want Paladin Sleeves and if no, also if you want to get any All-in sets. In that case you will be asked to switch pledge levels, otherwise you won't see them as add-ons:
To Summarize
- If you want to get Paladin Sleeves, you need to be in a Paladin Sleeves pledge level
- If you don't want to get Paladin Sleeves, but you want to have at least 1 All-in Set, you need to be in an All-in-Set pledge level
- Otherwise go for an Accessory Pack pledge level or stay at your Pledge Manager Access
3. Choosing your add-ons
In this step you can choose some additional materials, including extra copies of the Accessory Packs, Games, All-in Sets, Paladin sleeves etc.
The base content of your pledge is already in your cart. Do not choose a copy of the item that is already a part of your pledge, unless you want a second copy.
If you are not interested in adding any extra add-ons to your pledge, you can easily skip this step by clicking on the appropriate link (box 1).
If you want to add an item to your cart, simply use the appropriate button.
Your remaining credit from Kickstarter, all items which come default with your pledge, as well as all items you have added in this step are displayed on the right-hand side of the screen (box 2). This section will also appear in the final summary screen, where you will be asked to pay any outstanding amount (shipping cost, possible cost of add-ons).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Charging your card for add-ons, shipping (and VAT where applicable) does not happen immediately, but at a later time which will be communicated via further updates.
4. Provide your shipping address
In the next step you will be asked to provide shipping address.
While address changes will be possible until we are closing on to fulfillment date, it is crucial that you provide an address unlikely to change anytime soon. You will still be able to change the address before we close the pledge manager, but making sure that your shipping information is precise and up to date as fast as possible will make fulfillment smoother and easier both for you, and for us.
5. Confirmation screen
The final screen of BackerKit will show you a summary of your order and ask you to settle your payments.
This screen summarizes the previous steps by providing you with your total balance (box 1), your address (box 2), and the breakdown of all ordered items (box 4) - including the base pledge item, right above any add-ons and extra copies.
Finally, you will also find here the Payment section (box 3), where you will be asked to input your credit card data.
This is a great moment to double check all the information you input, and go back to a previous step if necessary. When your order is complete, simply press Place My Order.
6. Almost there!
There are still a few important pieces of information you need to know before you are all set:
Firstly, we will open the pledge manager on 22-Jan. However, some of you will receive an invitation in your email immediately, and some will not. This is normal, as invitations are sent in batches, including a special first batch that covers about 5% of backers, which is a final test run, allowing us to make sure that everything is working correctly. We will keep the pledge manager open until 16-Feb, with closing reminders sent 10 days, 3 days, and 1 day before closing.
Secondly, if you have any problems with your Backer Kit, make sure to write to us directly, via private message. There are some questions we should not be answering in the comments - and sending us a private message will make your problem disappear faster. So, again, make sure to use the private message system to reach out for our assistance.
Thirdly, if you are doing a Late Pledge your shipping costs may be adjusted manually later, following the same fashion as described at the campaign page, and our calculator. Unfortunately, this process could not be automated. If you want to Late pledge for the Paladin Sleeves, please let us know in the private message.
